Constructions of partitioned difference families
نویسندگان
چکیده
Partitioned difference families (PDFs) arise from constructions of optimum constant composition codes. In this paper, a number of infinite classes of PDFs are constructed, based on known cyclotomic difference families in GF(q). A general approach which obtains PDFs from difference packings and coverings in abelian group is also presented. c © 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Six Constructions of Difference Families
In this paper, six constructions of difference families are presented. These constructions make use of difference sets, almost difference sets and disjoint difference families, and give new point of views of relationships among these combinatorial objects. Most of the constructions work for all finite groups. Though these constructions look simple, they produce many difference families with new...
متن کاملConstructions of antimagic labelings for some families of regular graphs
In this paper we construct antimagic labelings of the regular complete multipartite graphs and we also extend the construction to some families of regular graphs.
متن کاملDifference families from rings
Furino, S., Difference families from rings, Discrete Mathematics 97 (1991) 177-190. Some difference family constructions originating with Bose, Hanani and Wilson that require finite fields are modified to work in rings with unity. These ring constructions are then used to derive new classes of abelian and cyclic difference families with blocks size 4. These constructions are also used to provid...
متن کاملDisjoint Difference Families from Galois Rings
In this paper, we give new constructions of disjoint difference families from Galois rings. The constructions are based on choosing cosets of the unit group of a subring in the Galois ring GR(p2, p2s). Two infinite families of disjoint difference families are obtained from the Galois rings GR(p2, p4n) and GR(22, 22s).
متن کاملDisjoint difference families and their applications
Difference sets and their generalisations to difference families arise from the study of designs and many other applications. Here we give a brief survey of some of these applications, noting in particular the diverse definitions of difference families and the variations in priorities in constructions. We propose a definition of disjoint difference families that encompasses these variations and...
